This item is an extremely rare Mono album released in 1968 on Elektra Records by The Doors entitled ‘Waiting For The Sun’. Very few mono copies of this album were ever made as by 1968 record companies were mainly manufacturing stereo LP’s only. Record label and number is Elektra EKL-4024. HOWEVER.... record itself is in G condition with many (too many to count) light hairline scuffs. Record played through with no skips when tested on my Denon turntable but there is some surface noise throughout. Mono record labels are in excellent condition with very little spindle wear. Mono gatefold cover is in VG- condition with flaws being general wear, creased corner at the lower right corner and wear at the upper and lower left corners, wear on all the edges, there are three pieces of tape measuring 2 inches along the left spine and a 1 1/2 inch piece of tape on the right spine of cover (see photos). Original Elektra Records inner sleeve is included. See photos for song listings. Please remember this album is being sold for it’s rarity and not for it’s condition. Only mono copy of this album that I’ve ever seen in over 40 years of collecting records. This is arguably the rarest Doors record made and will fill a hole in your Doors collection until and if you can ever find another copy. No reserve. Low starting bid. Money back if not satisfied.
