The Dovers,"The Third Eye" Very Rare Great Original Garage Psych 45 rpm, Miramar

This is a great record recorded in 1966 by the Dovers of Santa Barbara California.  The titles are "The Third Eye" and "Your Love".  The record is in very good condition with some wear and a slight warp, it plays very well with only slight surface noise and strong clear sound. On my turntable (Thorens TD 125 with SME tone arm/Sure V15) the tone arm rose up and down at one point on each revolution due to the warp however the sound was not effected and the stylus did not leave the record surface.  I am grading this record VG do to the warp and surface appearance but really as far as sound quality is concerned it would be VG+ or better.  In the last photo the record is in the glare of a light showing the surface wear.  The etched information on the trail-off grove is, Side A:  triangle symbol followed by 61706 and 123-A.  Side B:  triangle symbol followed by 61706-X (the X is double etched covering a different numeral or letter which was an error) and 123-B.  The labels are in good condition with some wear, no writing, tears or stickers.

My record grading system is as follows

·                                 E+  As close to perfect as you can expect

·                                 E  Near perfect with some very light flaws, next to no surface noise

·                                 VG+  Light wear, light surface noise, very good sound quality

·                                 VG  A record with wear that is still pleasant to listen to

·                                 G  A poor quality record that is only offered because it is very rare
