Description
I am selling my own stunning copy of The Drifters classic LP ' Save The Last Dance For Me' which I have owned since 1992 and bought from a 1960s record store who had it in safe storage since new. The vinyl on this copy is near mint, labels mint and the sleeve grades as excellent.
Plum London Atlantic label, mono, HAK.2450 - a typical solid London pressing. The labels are in mint condition with no spindle wear. I have only played this copy a few times and then only on a hi-end NAIM hi-fi with a Michelle turntable. Given my knowledge of the LP before I bought it and since, I would guess the LP hasn't been played more than 10 times since new. I gave it one last play today to enable me to describe the experience. Essentially, this is a stunning copy with only the very occasional crackle, approximately 95% of the LP has no background noise, including the quiet songs/intros and in-between songs. The vocals and instruments are really clear. You won't be disappointed with the quality of this listening experience. I am grading the vinyl as near mint. For those who are interested the matrix numbers in the run out grooves on side 1 and 2 are AML 2134-1B.
The vinyl is in the original poly lined inner sleeve with stars - This is printed 045 Made in England, British Patent No. 800513, Foreign Patent Pending.
The laminated wrap around picture sleeve grades excellent overall. To the bright laminated front cover there is very little noticeable ring wear or creases and only very minor wear to the two corners. The cover is bright and clean. The spine is not worn. I have photographed close ups of corners and spine to show the condition. The rear is clean and clear. There is a light foxing and some age related discoloration at the side which opens - I have photographed this - but it is light and does not affect the overall condition / grade which is excellent. There are no writing marks, imprints or tears on the sleeve.
