Description
In conjunction with the release of the film A Complete Unknown, a perfect all-time best-of collection on 2LP—ideal as an introduction to Bob Dylan.
This 2-LP set features 23 essential tracks that span over half a century of Dylan’s legendary career, including both his most iconic and influential songs. Starting with the historic protest anthem that brought Dylan to prominence, Blowin’ in the Wind, and continuing through to what many consider the greatest rock song of all time, Like a Rolling Stone. Also included is Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door, covered by artists like Eric Clapton and Guns N’ Roses, and the pure, heartfelt love song Make You Feel My Love, famously covered by Billy Joel and Adele. The collection concludes with Long and Wasted Years from 2012’s Tempest, showcasing the depth and evolution of Dylan’s artistry.
This definitive release also features a special insert: the ukiyo-e-style jacket slick from Bob Dylan’s Japanese Songs Collection, originally released to commemorate his 2023 Japan tour—his first since receiving the Nobel Prize in 2016. The packaging features a newly designed obi (spine label) with a cherry blossom motif, offering a traditional Japanese aesthetic that is sure to attract attention worldwide. (Originally recorded in 2014)
