Description
I am selling these for a friend who is liquidating an estate that had some great albums. I am listing 19 original Blue Note albums this week. I will be listing about 100 more collectible albums from the 1950's and 1960's (mostly Jazz and Blues) in the next few weeks so watch my listings. I am not a dealer but I have done my best to accurately describe these. Please see description above and look at the photos.
This is The Fabulous Fats Navarro Volume 1 BLP 1531. It was originally released in January 1957. It has the P for Plastylite or ear on both sides as well as etched RVG. Both sides have a deep groove. It has a flat rim. The spine is blank. It has the LEX Lexington address on the label and cover. It has a frame style cover and it is not laminated.

In my description above I noticed some faint imperfections in the vinyl. I tried to picture them but I do not know if they will be visible. I will play the album through later today and update the listing to identify any issues that I can hear and I will update the listing.
UPDATE I listened to this on both sides and there were no skips or interruption of playback. I did not hear the areas with the minor visual issues and only heard minor surface noise primarily in between tracks and in the softer passages where bass was featured. I played this loud with higher treble to try to hear as much as possible. I do not have anything to clean this so honestly some of the surface noise was likely airborne dust. You can buy this knowing that you can listen to the music and enjoy it without distracting noise. You can tell you are listening to an album because of the minor surface noises but it is not a scratchy old album.
