GAP/Rough Trade Records RTGAP 1001 (1980)
(Ex+/Ex+) The sleeve and record are in fantastic condition. I think a lot of collectors would grade them NM. The sleeve is in perfect condition apart from a couple of creases at the edge. The spine is crisp and undamaged. The labels are crisp and new, with just some light spindle-marks. The record is lovely and glossy, and is perfect apart from some really fine hairlines visible under halogen but not daylight, that shouldn’t have any effect whatever on sound quality.
One of The Fall’s greatest albums, from their early ‘country n northern’ period. Again full of Mark E. Smith’s obsessions at the time: the music industry, ghouls, drugs and a cast of wonderfully irksome characters. The North will rise again! Do not listen to ‘Impression Of J. Temperance’ just before you go to bed!
Note: this copy is the original Australian press, with stamped runouts RTGAP 1001 A / RTGAP 1001 B. It’s far rarer than the UK or US releases. Even rarer, it’s a promotional copy. You won’t see this for sale often, so don’t miss it now!
The record will be cleaned carefully on a Knosti Disco Anti-Stat record cleaning machine before dispatch. Please let me know as early as possible if you don’t want it to be cleaned.

Note: I listened to this all the way through yesterday, and there is a small amount of crackle in places, most notably at the quiet start of 'Cash n Carry'. There is also an occasional click. Nothing intrusive, and it might well improve after cleaning. I still think the Ex+ grading is right.
