Artful Records (ARTFUL LP9) RARE 1997 Vinyl edition !!
Vinyl visually inspected under strong light shows no problems at all. Vinyl is very clean and very shiny. No scratches. There are a few faint surface marks here and there, but these are "wispy" marks that can be caused when the vinyl comes off the cutting lathe during pressing, or even when the vinyl is removed from and then replaced back into the paper inner sleeve. Nothing that will affect playback, and I'd say this LP has received only a handful of spins over the years. Very well looked after and looks practically new.
The 2 labels are slightly damaged, however. Please see pics above to see what I mean. Nothing serious at all, in my opinion....however, it looks as if both labels were a bit carelessly applied during manufacture - especially side 2. There is noticeable creasing in one corner of the side 2 label, and a slight curling of the paper as well. Side 1 just has a very slight curl. As I mentioned before, it looks like the result of some slightly careless stickering when the labels were being put on.
Outer sleeve in excellent condition. Still has the original shrink wrap, which has been opened to remove the vinyl inside. Looks almost new. There is extremely light "bumping" that has occurred on the corners of the opening edge of the sleeve, but these are hardly even worth mentioning. There is also the smallest scuff along the bottom edge of the sleeve (about 1cm) which can only be seen on the back cover. I'm being very fussy here as this is a rare record ! All in all, a really, really good condition sleeve that has been very well cared for and hardly used. Still also has the original price sticker on the sleeve itself....purchased from HMV.
Inner sleeve just plain white paper, and in fine condition.
This is an excellent condition copy of a rare Fall LP from the late 1990s. Essential addition to any serious Fall collector's record rack.
