Description

An original 1st mono press of Doll's House on the UK Reprise Steamboat label from 1968. Matrix A3G/B3G. Note very early pressings will be found on this tri-colour Steamboat label - mono copies were the original format. Pressed on very heavy vinyl from 1968 - which is very forgiving. The vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue mono cover. Will ship in a poly-lined inner sleeve from the time for maximum protection. We DO NOT have either the original inner or the insert.
Vinyl (Ex-) In great condition and has only seen light to moderate use. There are a good few light marks per side - but seemingly nothing heavy or likely to cause major issue. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. By and large a very nice clean player particularly considering its vintage. Expect a bit of light background in a couple of spot per side [e.g. Mr Policeman]. I also detected a couple of ticks at the end of one of the tracks on side 1 [as it closed out]. Another couple of clicks as the final track fades out right at the end of side 1. Neither of which are that bigger deal. Overall a great example of this sought after Mono original.
Cover (Ex-) Looking far better than many examples will do by this point in time. Love clean front with only a few light creases. The rear looks superb - many will have aged by now. But this example is clean with barely a hint of ageing. All flipbacks are intact and secure. Edge wear is pretty slight for this title. The spine is very good with 90% of the text legible - just a couple of spots of wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
