Here is the legendary, almost impossible to find original The Fix - Jan's room Ep. This jewel was released 1981 by well-known Touch & Go Records. It has the old Lansing, MI address where it all started on the back. The lyric sheet is the handwritten one, the one with the spray paint, that's right, the one that says "Craig is the boss, Steve is his slave" on the back. From what I hear, these are more rare than the typed out lyric sheet. Only 1000 records total were made of this piece of history, so any Jan's Room's are super rare! Legendary second ep of the midwest hardcore heroes who were the first band ever signed at Touch & Go Records. The cover of the ep appeared first at the front of the eigth issue of T&G magazine and then was re-used for the second (and unfortunately last) single of The Fix. Fast and angry hardcore with the most savage and raw sound you can imagine. If you haven't heard The Fix, but like the Necros, Negative Approach, Die Kreuzen, SSD, etc, you'll love these guys. As I said a piece of history, an absolute must-have. Ripper issue #7 stated, "These guys play with an intensity and ferocity that's rarely seen, just flat out incredible. Lethal vocals and speeding guitar noise, one hell of a savage sledgehammer attack." Vinyl is (graded conservatively with Goldmine Standard) in excellent (EX) condition. No scratches, glossy, few slight marks only. Nothing that could effect playing. Cover is in near mint (NM) condition. Few slight wrinkles in the paper cover, no creases around the edges . No ringwear on front, no ringwear on the back, no seamsplits, no breaks in the binding. Haven't seen this record a long time in this pristine condition. I just got an e-mail from the singer of the Fix, and he stated that the spray paint lyric sheets were done first, by him and Tesco Vee(of the Meatment) After realizing that the fumes were killing them, they called Corey at Touch and Go, and told him that they weren't going to be able to do all of them, henceforth the typed out lyric sheet that came out later. Obviously, the spray paint ones are more rare! There ya have it, I always wondered what the story was, thanks to Steve from the Fix!!!
