A chance to purchase a very rare record indeed. . The record was purchased by me in the mid 1960's . Although it is quite easy to find Broadway Jungle by the Maytals on single it is very very rare to find it on Island Records by the Flames The record was released here in the UK in 1964. Cat no W1-139 The label both sides is in good condition there is a small self adhesive red dot on the a side which could be easily removed with care.The a side is Broadway jungle and the b side is Beat Lied both sides by the Flames. The record has been well played over the years, this was a very BIG record in the mid to late 1960's at the clubs and dance halls all over the UK and especially in London.. The condition is very good and although there are surface scratches on the vinyl and background crackle the record is good for its age (over 40 years). I have put no reserve on this record but have pitched the starting price realistically to generate interest.. This is one for the specialist collector of Reggae and Ska. This is probably one of the most important records to come out of Jamaica especially when you consider that it was recorded in 1964,and is a forerunner for all that came later. The photos may not be clear (blurred during transmission to E-bay) but I can assure you the labels are in very good condition as stated.
