I love this record! This version of Free Radicals is so solid and different.


So here’s the deal, I have two copies of this and I’m selling this one. The reason is that these vinyl records from the Flaming Lips with pvc covers have a nasty habit of getting a permanent film coated on the vinyl. When it coats on the tracks it can be audible.


I’ve seen 5 of these records and I kept 2. This one is just slightly worse than my other one, but all things considered this one is very clean. Most all of the coating damage is on the uncut middle, with only two significant spots along the tracks. I have found it to be audible, but as I always cranks the volume on this one it’s rarely been a distraction.


Because the European pvc albums were sold with the top open, I have found their damage to be considerably less than albums like the Mastadon single which are almost all destroyed at this point.
