The Fox 'Mr. Carpenter' Rare Promo Demo Vinyl 7" Single In Very Good Condition
This is a very interesting and rare pressing. The psych-classic 'Hey! Mr. Carpenter', released on demo by CBS in 1968 as 'Mr. Carpenter'. The index stamps are 7400 and 7401. This is very presentable however is not an immaculate copy and has been played quite a bit. This plays fine despite some mild scratches - none of which can be felt. This is very listenable and enjoyable though there is some background crackle. I have taken a video clip of it playing if anyone would like to see - though I think I will have to cut it pretty short for it to be able to be sent by the eBay messaging service! The labels are in really good condition. Overall I would grade the single VG. This has the original sleeve which is in nice order with just a price on it in pen and a name on the back upper edge to detract. It's a real rarity and I have seen no sales records for one of these since 2016 so is a good find!

Please see the following grading guidelines which I use to grade all media: Items will be described in the following order: Media/Cover (i.e. VG/G+)
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
CD's are similarly graded though the Jewel case is disregarded in grading. The grading applies to the media and the insert. Cassettes will simply be described in their playing condition and are all tested.
