This Gems 78 test pressing contains the released version of One Woman Man, and an unissued alternate intro version (with drum and cymbal) of The Darkest Night. For the unschooled, a test pressing is a vinyl record. It is not a blank disc. Music is on the record. Test pressings are pressed in small quanities. They are made for checking sound quality and technical defects, such as surface noise, tics, pops etc, If the disc proves satisfactory, the full production of a particular record can be manufactured. This 1955 test pressing has the song titles handwritten on the label by Paul King, co-owner of Drexel Records. The disc is in very good+ condition. The record is rare and is the only 78 test pressing containing this unreleased alternate introduction.
