Description
Here for purchase is a rare copy of the Capitol Records surf cash-in Dracula’s Deuce, released in 1964. Featuring Chocolate Watchband co-producer Richie Podolor on guitar and Wreckin’ Crew star drummer Hal Blaine, ‘Weird Wolf’, ‘Shake Rattle & Rot’ and ‘Dracula’s Theme’ sound just like the Chocolate Watchband’s debut LP. This 13 song album was produced by Beach Boys collaborator Gary Usher, who also produced the Surfaris, Sons of Adam, and the Byrds’ classic LP Younger Than Yesterday.
This album comes from the collection of singer/author, who purchased it in the mid-80s from Bleecker Bob’s, in New York’s Greenwich Village. The cover remains extremely clean, without wear and with a superb spine. The vinyl itself has just been played through and is in superb condition, save for the very occasional click between certain tracks. Otherwise, all tracks are clean except where noted below:
Side One
1. Dracula’s Deuce
2. Dracula’s Theme
3. Little Old Lady from Transylvania
4. Weird Wolf one click at beginning
5. Be True To Your School
6. Shake, Rattle & Rot
Side Two
1. Monsterbilly Heaven
2. Blood And Butter one click
3. The Graveyard Shift
4. Voo Doo Juice one pop near fade
5. Bela Be Good
6. Coffin Nails
