Description

This is the 1994 German pressing of  HOUSEROCKIN' by The Gories, released 1994 on Crypt Records (LP-041), shortly after Mr. Warren split for Hamburg. The album was originally released 1989 on Wanghead Records. Listed on the back cover of THIS copy is 1) the 1994 release date, 2) a barcode (4016022100167), which varies from every single US release from '94 to the present, and 3) the German EFA Label catalog number (11576-08). This was perhaps more readily available in the US as an import in the mid-90's as domestic availability dried up. I bought this in Seattle and just now realized its origin. So, yes, this copy is indeed a 1994 Crypt release that easily pre-dates THE WHITE STRIPES, not one of the recent re-pressings masquerading as an original.
