Gatefold issue first pressing of the Original Soundtrack to The Harder They Come. Rocksteady at it's best !!
Despite having only one original track "The Harder They Come" became one of the most important albums of the 70's, bringing reggae to the masses of America and offering a more commercial sound to those in the UK who had already embraced Ska through the skinhead and mod cultures of the 60's. Island Records had developed a reputation in the UK for developing Progressive and Folk Rock artists throughout the late sixties and early seventies but here was a fabulous nod to their roots in Jamaica.
A must have album!
