Hi, my name is Tommy and I’ve been collecting records for many, many years now. I’ve taken the hard decision to sell off some of my collection, so I can concentrate my collection in one specific area. So please look at my other listings. All my records are stored in protective plastic sleeves, standing upright with no pressure on them. Will be listing many more over the next few months..:(
Listed here is a RARE album by The Hollies titled Butterfly. This is a UK Original 1st Pressing on Parlophone PCS 7039. This STEREO copy is pressed on the very collectable Yellow/Black Parlophone label. The record has ‘Gramophone Co. Ltd...’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ text on label, also has the ‘KT’ tax code stamp on side 1 all indicating 1st UK pressing. But what makes this record RARER than most, is that it is the much rarer STEREO copy, most are mono. The laminated flipback sleeve is printed by ‘Garrod & Lofthouse’. The album is also complete with original company advertising inner. Also has the early matrix numbers.
Matrix numbers: YEX 659-1 / YEX 660-2
VINYL - Both sides of the record are in EX- condition. Tiny trace of light/minor background noise/static, which is only really noticeable on the run-ins and between the tracks and even then barely noticeable. NO skips, NO Jumps, NO sticking. Couple of light pops, there are a couple hairline scratches, which don’t affect the sound quality, apart from one tiny one at the start of side 1 (about 2mm) which produces 5 extremely light clicks, they really don’t detract from the listening experience. The rest of record sounds superb!
SLEEVE - The laminated flipback sleeve is in EX condition. NO spine wear (text is all readable), tiny amount of wear to corners. NO Tears, NO splits, there are a couple of creases(light and small). NO rub marks, NO Pen marks/writing or Graffiti. Still has retained its lovely shinny/glossy finish (see photo)
Original Company Inner is in EX+ condition, NO Writing or Graffiti. NO Rips, Tears or Splits
Label’s are in EX condition. Tiny trace of spindle marks, NO Writing or Graffiti.
(note: never grade Mint as I believe once it’s been played, even just once it’s no longer Mint)
