Description
The Hondells is the second studio album by the American surf rock group. The album was released on the Mercury records label in 1964. It was released just a few months after their Go Little Honda debut Mercury Album. Their debut album features the track “Little Honda”, written by Brian Wilson, which reached #9 on the Hot 100 Singles chart. The Hondells album featured the single “My Buddy Seat”, also written by Wilson and Gary Usher, which peaked at #87 on the Hit 100. The Hondells also scored a minor hit with a cover of The Lovin’ Spoonful’s “Younger Girl” before disbanding in 1966. Great American surf rock than benefited from Brian Wilson and Gary Usher for sure. Beautiful stereo first press copy from ‘64 here.
