This is an original first pressing of the 1965 garage rock single by the Iguanas on the band’s own Forte label, “Mona”/“I Don’t Know Why”.

This Michigan band included drummer and vocalist Jim Osterberg who eventually took on the stage name Iggy Pop. This was his first record. While this record was later reproduced, this disc is an original copy of the 1,000 that were produced. Note the stamped numbers in the dead wax (see photo). The reproduction copies have numbers etched in the dead wax. This copy has plenty of shine and is in Mint- (mint minus) condition. It belonged to a Massachusetts collector who died in 2024.
