Description
And original copy of 'The 5000 Spirits' on Elektra from 1970 [ a couple of years after 1st release]. Matrix A2/B2. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Senol printed cover designed by 'The Fool'. Also included is an original inner sleeve date coded to summer 1970 [07-70]. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In stunning condition and has only seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Believe me when I say this release has to play back CLEAN and perfectly quiet otherwise you are just wasting your time. This copy is preserved to a very high level and is clearly very low-mileage. The only interference we picked out was a couple of crackles in the opening seconds of the the track 1 intro. Other than that this is a supremely preserved and plays back with outstanding fidelity as you would expect from an early Elektra original.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has been carefully looked after down the years. A lovely shiny front cover with barely a crease and only some light laminate lift in the spine area. The rear is in equally good condition with one crease. edge wear is very light and all text on the spine is legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies totally flat. An outstanding example....
Inner (Vg+) A bit of ageing. Two small side splits.
