Description
What we have here is Our Pioneer Heritage (IR-1001), the very first album released by one of the greatest Southern Gospel quartets of all time: The Inspirations, from Bryson City, North Carolina!! Technically, this is not their first recording, as they were featured on a record with Rev. Ralph Sexton entitled Through the Gates (RS-100S), but Our Pioneer Heritage is the group's first LP!
Listen to Archie Watkins (tenor), Ronnie Hutchins (lead), Jack "Ol' Bear Hunter" Laws (baritone), Troy Burns (bass), and Martin Cook (pianist/manager) perform some great standards of the faith, and a few new songs for that time--1964.

Folks, I must say that this album is in pristine condition: The jacket is M- with virtually no ringwear! The vinyl is EX++/NM with very little noise. Considering the age of this record, you could not ask for a better specimen! The Inspirations have been together for 45 years, and these are the Boys from The Great Smoky Mountains at their very beginning!
