Description
This is a used, but very nice copy of "Young Man from Woking", a live double album with a free single, by The Jam. This is from a live BBC broadcast from Hammersmith Odeon, 27/2/1982. The song titles on the jacket are wrong, or, at least, in the wrong order. For example, the record with the tan label has a slight defect in the plastic at the very beginning of the side & there is a loud popping as Paul introduces the first song on this side, "Dreams of Children" (the popping disappears when the song begins), but the jacket says this song is the last one on Side 3. Just from looking at the bands on the records, there could be 28 songs on these 2 albums, not the 19 listed on the jacket. The sound quality is pretty good, but I had to crank the bass up all the way-if your amplifier has an equalizer, these tunes would sound better. Both LP's & the single all go in one jacket which has all the corners dinged & a bent lower left corner on the back & a hint of ring wear from sticking 3 discs in one jacket. With blank labels, the real Jam fan could figure out the correct song order & personalize these LP's. All in all, lots of great music from one of the best live bands I've ever seen.
