For auction is a very good listeners copy of Are You Experienced?, the debut album of the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Released in 1967, the record was an instant critical and commercial success and is now considered by many one of the best debut albums in rock history. It highlighted, Hendrix’s unique and innovative approach to playing the guitar and songwriting. Features the classics, “Purple Haze”, “Hey Joe”, “The Wind Cries Mary”, “Fire” and “Foxey Lady” amongst others. No wonder it is considered one of the best records of all time. On many lists such as Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Albums of All Time” of 2020 where it ranked #30. This copy is a 1967 1st Pitman Press stereo with 3-tone Reprise labels.
Vinyl is play graded VG. Many visible but light surface marks. None are deep that they can be felt. Plays with barely any background noise. Any existing noise is faint and never overwhelming. No skips or jumps. Plays closer to VG+ despite marks. Please see pics.
Cover is in VG- condition. Shelf wear on corners and seams. Title side is completely taped. Title is barely legible. No other splits. Ring wear on front and back. Price sticker on back and fading on front and back. Original Reprise inner is in VG- condition with split on bottom. Generic white inner is included to protect vinyl. Please see pics.
