Description
THE JUST US FIVE I'M SO LONESOME I COULD CRY b/w TENNESSEE STUD WA RECORDS 45 | CIRCA 1960s
Additional Information: Obscure 45 by The Just Us Five, who were a 1960s Dallas Texas band featuring Steven Lee Davis, Sid Whatley, Ronald Curtis Barnett, Gary Bedwell, and A.J. Smith. They were initially known as The Accents. They cover I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry by Hank Williams. This version has a lot of reverb vocals with some sort of shouting in the background. Their version of the Jimmie Driftwood song Tennessee Stud I'd describe as a garage psych echo track, a cross between ? & the Mysterians and The Cramps. It features Farfisa organ and those reverb vocals once again. You can hear Tennessee Stud on YouTube. Both tracks end in applause, but I'm not sure these are live tracks. Private label WA Records Oil & Gas Building. Includes generic white paper sleeve. Vinyl grades VG. No skips. Please refer to photos of actual item and feel free to message us with any questions.
