An excellent condition UK first mono pressing of The Kinks self-titled first LP on the Pye label (NPL 18096). The cover has got to be close to near mint, the laminate is stunning with just a couple of tiny crease lines, the flipbacks are solid, the spine is sharp and intact, the opening is a little soft but overall this is magnificent condition considering it is nearly 50 years old! The back cover has some faint wear but given that the back is not laminated it is in in stunning condition. The top left corner of the flipback is a biro mark and the top right has the original price mark (32/-) written in the same biro. The vinyl must is close to near mint as there is not a single scratch or scuff as is evident in the pictures and video, under a very bright light some hairline wispy marks can be seen but they have no effect on the playback. There are some marks around the spindle but they are very faint and there are not other marks on the labels. The playback is excellent with only some light static in places that would easily go with a machine clean. Overall I would conservatively grade this as Excellent overall, but there cannot be many copies of this recording that remain in this kind of condition.
