This pristine copy of their 4th studio album is a UK 1st mono pressing from initial March 1965 release

It was the first Kinks album consisting entirely of Ray Davies compositions

The disc bears vibrant pink & black PYE Records labels: NPL.18149

Matrix numbers: NPL18149 A2 H & NPL18149 B1 H

Stamper codes: H/1 & F/1

Disc weight: 141g

Housed within a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover, complete with tissue-paper lined inner-sleeve

A vibrant & unblemished pair with just a handful of faint spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.

Visual: NEAR MINT

Immaculate factory-fresh deep gloss playing surfaces which are unmarked in strong daylight with just some harmless wispy paper hairlines & a sparkling rainbow shine upon close inspection directly beneath my unforgiving directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp.

Sound Quality: NEAR MINT

This wonderful sounding copy has received just a few careful pays on good equipment and is totally free from any groove/playwear distortion or crackle. My playcheck detected only a trace of low-level vinyl background between tracks but no clicks, pops or any other audible distractions or faults. No need to upgrade this one for sound.

Cover: EXCELLENT +

A 1st class example of this vibrant pop-art designed cover which retains a vivid unscratched high-gloss front laminate bearing just a single tiny 'thumbnail' wrinkle but no spine bends at all. There is a tiny bump to the upper left corner but all others along with both opening edges, are sharp & unworn. The exposed rear panel is pristine and snow-white with no age, handling or storage marking anywhere.

There is a 2cm stress to the lower seam only but the spine is in perfect unworn condition.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT

Clean & white with minor storage wrinkling, but no writing, tears or seam splits.
