Description
TITLE: Face To Face
ARTIST: The Kinks LABEL: Pye
MONO: NUMBER NPL.18149 YEAR 1966
CONDITION OF VINYL: The vinyl would be classified as very good+. There is a lovely sheen to the record, reflecting a well looked after, rarely played piece of vinyl. There are a few very light, hairline scratches visible under strong light. These in no way affect the really excellent sound quality of an extremely rare record - especially in this condition. Having just listened to the record the record sticks at one point only during "Dandy". This may not happen with your stylus! This is the only reason why the vinyl is not classified as excellent! Apart from that there are no other flaws whatsoever.
CONDITION OF COVER: The cover would be classified as excellent+. There is very little creasing and ringwear. There is a superb sharpness to the cover. All lettering is fully present, with very little rubbing. Amazing to find a cover of some 44 years in this condition! The spine is crystal clear - please see photograph.
PACKAGING My vinyl is always very carefully packaged with inner stiffening to avoid the possibility of breakage. More expensive items will require a signature. Please bid with absolute confidence.
All these gradings are very strict and follow the Record Collector price guide.
MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
