Description

A 1st pressing of Kontroversy on the UK Pye label. Matrix A1/B1. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse flipback cover.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb shape and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks on either side, but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is minimal - just a touch of static in a couple of tracks [literally that's all]. The audio is very very nice. Excellent detail and well resolved - it's not difficult to understand why folk insist on an early mono copy.
Cover (Vg) These covers often turn up looking a bit worse for wear. This example is about average, but not too bad at all really. The front is nice and shiny with only light ageing. The rear has escaped the worst of the potential ageing - just a few patches. There's a bit of edge wear on the spine - but the text is all still intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Please note there's a couple of numbers written in biro on the rear top-left.
