Hi, my name is Tommy and I’ve been collecting records for many, many years now. All my records are stored in protective plastic sleeves, standing upright with no pressure on them, so you know they have been well looked after. Will be listing many more over the coming months, so please feel free to drop by and see what I have listed.
Listed here is a RARE album by The Kinks titled “The Kink Kontroversy”. This is a UK Original 1st Pressing on PYE NPL 18131. This Mono copy is pressed on the very collectable PYE label. This 1st pressing has the pink PYE label and has the "recording first published 1965" statement on label indicating 1st pressing, the laminated flipback sleeve is printed by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd, it also has Patents Pending on rear of sleeve, which only the early very first pressings had. What makes this copy even RARER is the condition, its is STUNNING, sounds and looks superb! The only fault I could really see is, the number 18/6 has been written on the rear. This is the original sale price (in old English money), which the record shop seller wrote on it at time of release. I have seen this before on other albums of the period and I think this works out to be about .75p in today's money! Record also has the very 1st press A-1/B-1 matrix numbers. Very RARE to find in such great condition, and is complete with original company inner.

VINYL - Both sides of the record are in Near MINT condition. NO background noise/static. NO Skips, NO Jumps, NO Sticking, NO Warping. NO pops. NO deep scratches, could only see a couple of tiny light hairline scratches, which in NO way affect the sound quality, NO Clicks, Sounds Superb! (clean and bright audio) Vinyl still has that lovely shine to it.
SLEEVE - The laminated flipback sleeve is in EX+ condition. NO spine wear (text is all readable), NO edge wear, trace of minor corner wear. NO tears/rips, NO splits, only a couple of light creases, NO ring wear or rub wear. Original price '18/6' written on rear as explained above. Sleeve still has that lovely glossy shine to it (see photo's)
LABELS - The labels are in EX condition. Some minor spindle marks, . NO Writing, pen marks or Graffiti.
INNER – The original company inner is in VG condition. NO tears/rips, small split in bottom. NO Writing, pen marks or Graffiti.
(note: never grade Mint as I believe once it’s been played, even just once it’s no longer Mint)
Record will be sent out in plastic protective outer sleeve which it has been stored in.
