Description

The Kinks Kontroversy US Stereo Reprise Tri-Color VG+/VG+ Cover: VG+ Spine(sides and top) solid. Top right corner has some wear/discoloration,not exactly paper tear.Beginnings of paper splitting at bottom of cover(been like that for 30 years) and corner wear bottom front right,but paper/slick in great shape overall.Discoloration top left back cover.80s "curved corner" inner sleeve.
Disc: VG+ Light background noise in between tracks-reduces after the first cut/lead-in groove on side 1.Turns to very light background noise afterwards(in between tracks). Side 2 has even less background noise than Side 1.Music is clear is powerful and dominates the soundstage on both sides. Visually,after staring closely,there are about 4-5 light scratches per side along with some tiny miscellaneous scratches scattered throughout. One scratch on "Where Have All The Good Times Gone" is the most pronounced visual scratch on the entire disc and when played results in 3-4 light ticks.When you factor in the volume of "Where Have All The Good Times Gone" on this album,it's like 3-4 finger snaps at a sold-out sporting event.This was my main copy for 30-ish years,and I don't recall any skipping or issues at all. A great copy.
