Description

An original 1st press of MH on the UK RCA label. Matrix 4E/4E. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Also included is the original generic white inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and the audio comes across with great clarity. This is an absolute KINKS CLASSIC in my humble opinion. There's a couple of rockers, but many tracks are acoustic so you're going to need a reasonably clean specimen to stand half a change of decent playback. By and large a very nice and clean delivery which renders these tracks to full effect. Interference is minor and brief. Expect a touch of light static in a couple of tracks e.g. Oklahoma USA. Nothing invasive they just won't play quite as nice and clean as other tracks. The only deviation is a couple of light ticks in the intro to 'Old Uncles Son' - no big deal.
Cover (Ex) In very nice condition and has been cared for down the years - unlike many other examples. Nice clean front and rear with only a touch of super light handing in one or two spots. The interior looks great nigh on pristine. Edge wear is light and the openings are still sharpish. The spine is pretty much entirely intact - which is unusual. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies totally flat.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No spits.
