Description
All proceeds from this sale will be donated to Folly Wildlife Rescue to support its vital work with UK wildlife.
We are delighted to have been donated 2 CDs and 2 vinyl records of The Kinks ‘The Journey – Part 3’ by our ever-supportive patron Dave Davies of The Kinks.
‘Part 3’ covers their transformative RCA/Arista period spanning 1977 to 1984, a period seeing the band finally break America, leaving behind their iconic pop and experimental phases, and returning to a fresh and concise style of classic songwriting that draws on their own distinct British sense of self.’
This LP is one of two that were signed by brothers Dave & Ray Davies for our fundraising. It has been on a journey round the world and the cardboard sleeve has some knocks, but the records are undamaged. It is accompanied by a Certificate Of Authenticity signed by our Chief Executive Officer. Please inspect the photos carefully.
They have been signed by both Ray & Dave Davies of The Kinks, following a visit to Folly from Ray’s grandson, Oliver Warren, at the end of last year. Oliver is an incredibly talented musician himself, as well as being an animal lover, so it was a joy to show him our wildlife hospital and the work we do!Postage: We only charge what it costs us for postage and use donated packaging materials as much as possible. We are happy to combine postage for UK buyers and will refund any excess postage if payment is made before we can invoice you. ** About Us **
Situated in the Broadwater Forest near Tunbridge Wells in Kent, UK Folly Wildlife Rescue Trust is a charity dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of wildlife in West Kent, East Sussex and the surrounding region.
We run a dedicated wildlife hospital providing specialist care and treatment, whilst remaining committed to raising awareness about the plight of our wildlife and what you can do to help. We treat and hand rear around 3,500 animals and birds each year.
As well as providing specialist care and veterinary treatment for injured, orphaned and distressed animals, we strive to educate the community of the plight of our wildlife and hopefully help reduce the number of accidents and incidents occurring.
Folly Wildlife Rescue receives no funding from any local authority or lottery grant and relies entirely on public donations, grants, legacies and fund-raising activities.
