This Very Rare & Desirable Limited Audiophile First Pressing is known to be a Great Sounding Pressing of some of The Monkees Greatest Work. This one is in Pristine New Condition. Like many Friday Music titles, this one came new in a open ended poly sleeve. It was placed into a resealable poly sleeve immediately after purchase and has never been opened until now for the photos. You will not find a cleaner more mint copy than this one. The album has been professionally stored and has never been handled, or played. The First Photo showing the color of the vinyl is a Stock Photo as this one is still in Pristine New Condition. 1968 was a interesting year for The Monkees. Aside from releasing more hit singles & another smash LP with "The Birds The Bees & The Monkees", future superstar and upcoming film maker Jack Nicholson, Bob Rafelson & The Monkees were developing the concept for a psychedelic film about this successful rock band who were trying to escape from their "manufactured image." Albeit an underlying glimpse of reality, the movie wound up being a swan song for the original line-up of the band until 1996's "Justus". As the "Head" movie was underrated at the time, it has since gone on to become ranked as one of the finest films in the rock genre.

Whilst there are some strange little spoken word pieces (Gravy) there are some top notch Monkees tracks here; Circle Sky, Can You Dig It and the single The Porpoise Song, which is up there as one of their best.
