Syd Barrett / The Madcap Laughs / 1st Pressing

Matrix Numbers: SHVL 765 A 2G (1 G)

                           SHVL 765 B 2G (1G)

This is from my own collection, bought new when first released. Only one owner, hence the "Excellent" condition of the vinyl and cover. Light surface scratch on side two does not affect play. Played through Panasonic headphones before writing this. Plays through from beginning to end with no jumps, clicks or pops. For forty two year old vinyl, this is rare indeed. Only light background crackle between tracks. Excellent sound reproduction given the age of this record. Hairlines and light wisps visible under very bright sunlight, consistent with removal from cover. The labels are in excellent condition with minimal spindle trails.

I would rate the cover as Excellent. Any wear is indicated in the photos. Light laminate wrinkling and wear on front bottom right corner as indicated. Overall the cover is very shiny with no fading of colour. The white spine is in excellent condition with strong black lettering and no splits.

I think you would be extremely lucky to find a forty two year old 1st Pressing in this condition !
