Description
This item is an original vinyl pressing of The Magnificent Thad Jones, Vol. 3, released by Blue Note. Characteristic trademarks to prove it as an original pressing (the RVG etched into the dead wax, no "R" symbol on the label, the designation on the back cover as "Blue Note Records" and not "Blue Note Records, Inc.") can be seen in the pictures.
Cover is VG with light to moderate wear to front. Heavy spine and edge wear. There is a 1-inch split at the bottom opening. Some aging and soiling to back.
Side 1 vinyl is NM-. Side 2 is VG-VG+ because of a series of six 3/8-inch marks on vinyl, two of which are light scratches. Last quarter of cut 2 plays with a light tick; though vinyl is very shiny, both sides play with light surface noise.
The dead wax has the ear and "RVG" etched into vinyl (I have tried my best to capture this in the pictures). Blue and white labels are bright and clean, with a few very, very light spindle marks visible under a strong light.
