The Mars Volta's Infamous AMPUTECHTURE
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING
I bought this from someone that obviously didn't know how to take care of vinyl.
I'll start from the jacket and work my way inward.
Jacket has an inch and a half split on top as pictured.. Not that bad but it is there. Front upper right has minir adhesive reside left over from someone taking the sticker off, same ones for the back bottom left. Minor shelf wear, little to no ring wear.
Records are half white and orange. Record 1 is warped.. The record plays all the way through with just a bit of hissing. The stylus jumps a little when playing through the 1st record as well. The 2nd record is in way better condition. When I got this album in my possession I immediately cleaned it with mofi cleaning solution and stored it in mofi anti static/scratch sleeve.
All in all it's about a 6 1/2 out of 10.
All of the cons aside this is an amazing album and they dont take away form its rarity. Its only getting harder to find, especially since the break up.
I bought it knowing it was warped. I just wanted to rescue it from someone that neglects amazing pieces of work and give it a good home. I've cleaned it up a lot. I have a sealed copy of this album so I'm just cleaning up my collection an getting rid of my doubles. Be assured I take amazing care of my vinyl.
