THE MATRIX REVOLUTIONS: MUSIC FROM THE MOTION PICTURE
2019 Record Store Day Black Friday Exclusive — Limited Edition Double Vinyl
Up for sale is a factory-sealed copy of the epic conclusion to the original Wachowski trilogy soundtrack, pressed on vinyl for the very first time for RSD 2019. This beautiful deluxe release features two LPs pressed on gorgeous, translucent Coke Bottle Green wax, with music spanning Sides 1, 2, and 3. Side 4 is single-sided and features a custom matrix graphic etching built right into the vinyl.
Condition Assessment
• Media Condition:Mint (M) — Brand new, fully sealed, unopened, and unplayed. The records inside are guaranteed flawless from the pressing plant.
Sleeve Condition:Excellent (EX) — The jacket is completely flat, crisp, and glossy under the shrink-wrap. The graphics and spine text remain beautifully sharp. There is extremely minor shelf handling wear present, consisting of slight corner rub-through on two of the corner tips where the shrink-wrap parted naturally over time. Overall, it is a gorgeous display piece.
(Please review the detailed photos to see exactly how minor this wear is before purchasing).
About the Album & Historical Significance
Unlike the companion "Inspired By" compilation albums for the franchise, The Matrix Revolutions relies heavily on the actual cinematic score composed by Don Davis. Davis seamlessly bridges traditional orchestral motifs with hard-hitting electronic textures, perfectly capturing the dark, tech-dystopian finale of the trilogy.
The centerpiece of this album features monumental collaborations with the pioneering electronic group Juno Reactor, creating a genre-defining hybrid sound.
• "Navras" — The absolute standout track of the album. Played during the iconic closing credits, this track combines a massive choir singing Upanishad Hindu prayers with aggressive, driving psy-trance electronic rhythms.
"Neodämmerung" — The thrilling, choral-infused orchestral score piece that soundtracked Neo’s ultimate final battle against Agent Smith.
"Tetsujin" & "The Trainman Cometh" — High-energy electronic tracks that defined the subterranean Club Hel combat sequences.
