Rough Trade Records (RTRADELP014) Highly collectable and rare vinyl version !!
Vinyl visually inspected under strong light shows no serious problems. The vinyl is very clean and very shiny. There are a few surface marks here and there, but mostly these are "wispy" marks that are usually caused when the vinyl is coming off the cutting lathe, or when the vinyl is removed and then placed back into the paper inner sleeve. Doesn't look to have been played much at all. However (and this is important) there is a noticeable "feel-able speck" (that's what i'll call it) on track 1, side 2. This will most certainly result in a couple of clicks or pops when that track is played, but it's unlikely to cause any actual skipping on the track. I'm not sure what it is, but looks to be a slight manufacturing fault - as it isn't a scratch, as such. I've tried to picture this above, but it's such a small mark that the camera can't pick it up. So, please keep this in mind when bidding. Other than this small fault with track 1, side 2 - the rest of the LP looks to be in great shape and should play with no issues at all.
Outer sleeve in great condition. No edge wear, and spine looks really good too. The only issue is a bit of a "crumple" on the bottom left corner of the sleeve (see pic) which looks to be the result of storage wear, or when it was packed originally for dispatch to the shops. Other than that, the sleeve is in excellent condition throughout.
I'll post the LP to the winning bidder in a protective PVC cover to maintain the great quality of the outer sleeve.
Inner sleeve is just plain white paper....and in fine condition.
So, all in all then....we've got here a really rare gem ! You don't see the vinyl version of this LP all that often, and when you do, it goes for a high price more often than not. This is a great copy to get hold of, with an excellent condition sleeve and mostly excellent vinyl condition. The only thing that spoils it is the mark on the first track of side 2, which might cause a bit of popping when played. Still a much sought after LP, and highly collectable for any Moldy Peaches fans out there !
