Description

Head is the sixth studio album by the American rock group. It was released in 1968 as the soundtrack to the motion picture of the same name. The film was written with the group and actor Jack Nicholson. The music has been described as a mixture of psychedelic, broadway and lo-fi rock music. The lone single from the album ‘ Porpoise Song’ reached #62 on Billboards Hot 100 singles chart. Head is revered as a snapshot time capsule of the free love hippie era of the swinging sixties. Crisp, first press originals are hard to come by in this condition. The unique metallic foil cover usually shows excessive ring wear and was difficult to preserve over the decades. Very good copy and record here.
