The Moonglows - Chance CH-1156 - Ooh Rocking Daddy / I Was Wrong 78rpm. You just don't see original copies of this everyday, especially in the 78rpm format.

Visual grading: G+ to VG- Surface of shellac appears quite dull due to thorough surface scuffs & scratches throughout. However none of these are deep or cause any significant clicks. Label has seen better days, with stains, tears, rubbing, & wear, however all writing remains fully legible.

PLAY GRADING: Amazingly, when listening, this sounds much closer to a VG, maybe better. NO skips whatsoever. A steady hiss with some distortion in the loudest passages. Nothing overwhelming the music though. You can listen to this record & find it very enjoyable. Actually cleaner sounding than some of the 78rpm copies posted in YouTube videos.

So, what you have here basically is a diamond in the rough. A chance (no pun intended) to get an uber-rare 50's doo-wop 78 at an affordable price to add to your collection. I always like to keep everything above-board & honest, so of course there is no reserve.

My Record Grading System ranges from + or - with M (Mint) being the highest, going downwards to NM (Near Mint), E (Excellent), VG (Very Good), G (Good), with P (Poor) being the lowest. I never will sell any records sound graded at VG- or lower, as I wish to only offer high-quality recordings to fellow audiophiles. I will never sell records that I myself would not be able to enjoy the fidelity of, or trust to play on my own audio equipment.

It will be packaged with care, as I do with all recordings I sell. I have yet to have any shipping issues with any records I've sold, including 78rpm shellac ones.
