This is a Taiwan Import on CSJ-1008. The album is originally from 1970. It is pressed on translucent brown vinyl ( you have to hold it up to the light to see it). It is in stereo. The man on front cover has a much lighter brown face, than other copies of this album. The back cover is tinted blue. On the inside of this jacket is the same front and back cover !!! Except the man's face to extremely dark brown.
The songs are : Didja Get Any Onya, Directly Form My Heart To You, Prelude To The Afternoon Of A Sexually Arouse Gas Mask, Toads Of The Short Forest, Get A Little, Eric Dophy Memorist Barbeque, Dwarf Nebula Processionel March & Dwarf Nebula, My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mama, Oh No, The Orange County Lumber Truck, and Weasels Ripped My Flesh.
What are Taiwan Imports and why should you buy one?? Taiwan imports are copies of US albums that were pressed without obeying copyright laws. They were pressed by small companies in Taiwan ( or Formosa ), in extremely limited numbers ( between 100 and 500 ). It was illegal to export them out of the country, so the only way they got out was from US servicemen who bought them there and then brought them back when they returned from overseas duty. Then they had to be sold to a used record store and then resold to a collector. There are many cover and label variations to watch for. Sometimes they are pressed on colored vinyl. Most of the time the front covers are poor quality copies. Many back covers are different or will have the lyrics printed, some with errors and typos. Sometimes there are album slicks from other albums inside the covers. The US record company logo is gone and a Chinese record company and record number are in it's place. All of their labels are unique with lots of Chinese character writing. The covers are made of paper which is sealed in very thin plastic, inside and outside. They are pressed on poor quality vinyl which plays with some static. They never note the country name on the cover or on the labels.
Overall Condition : Cover : M- / Record : M-
The cover is M-. There are no seam splits and there is no writing. There is bo ring wear on the plastic cover with very slight stretch marks in the plastic. The bottom corners have no bends. The vinyl looks near and it plays near, with light static between the songs. The labels are clean with no spindle marks.
