This auction is for an unplayed copy of the 2005 limited edition vinyl-only album by the Mountain Goats titled "Come, Come to the Sunset Tree." These albums were self-released by the band and sold primarily only at shows. The records were all hand-designed by John Darnielle and each one is unique. This particular copy, #16 out of 1000, was dated 4/16/05 and features three glued-on photographs (two of a woman in a hallway, one of a person absorbed by a big bubble). The photographs of the woman are credited to Sarah Wilmer. The two sides of by LP sleeve carry the following text in large print - "One Good Thing About Ghosts... Is That Eventually They Will Devour You." The album itself contains home recorded and demo versions of several of the songs from the Mountain Goats' 2005 album "The Sunset Tree" as well as some songs only available on this version of the album. This is the only way you will be able to hear these 11 songs. The songs are -

The vinyl is in mint, unplayed condition. The LP sleeve is in excellent condition as well with the exception of a small, faint stress crease on the top right cover of the side of the cover with "Ghosts" written on it which was there when the album was purchased. Winner will pay by Paypal, money order or concealed cash and include $5.50 for USPS Priority Mail shipping. International shipping will be charged at the actual rate for shipping to winner's country of origin via USPS air letter post service. Insurance is optional and available at actual cost.
