Description
Hi and thank you for viewing my auction. I am clearing out a large quantity of my vinyl collection some of which is rare and collectable.
I will aim to give an honest appraisal of the condition of each record and sleeve as well as giving a realistic opening price for auction items.
Much of the vinyl I am selling is from the 70's and 80's, including funk, disco, Tamla Motown and Soul. There will be several demos and promos amongst them, some of which may be difficult to value so you never know, you may pick a rare, collectable item at a bargain price.
Sold items will be despatched as soon as possible after purchase and proof of postage will always be obtained in case of any enquiries after sale.
From 1969 on Mercury MF1077, here is a brilliant blast of organ led, post-Mod era Northern Soul. Two soul cover versions from this UK band The Moving Finger, performing Jr. Walker & The All Stars "Shake and Fingerpop" and Jackie Wilson's "Higher and Higher". The latter is actually the 'A' side, but "Shake and Fingerpop" is by far the bigger crowd pleaser.
Quite a rarity, this copy is in very good condition, little played and still sounds clear and relatively crackle free. There is a small surface mark in the run out groove on Side 'A', but this does not affect the playing of the record. The cover is a plain black sleeve, but if I manage to find the correct Mercury 7" cover before the listing ends, I'll send this instead. Bid for a bargain and happy bidding.
