I use the record collector grading system of Bad / Poor / Good (G) / Very Good / Excellent / Mint.
Please see below for grading details.
I also use a + or a - for grades that I consider slightly better or worse.
A VG disc on this site will not be is nasty condition like many sellers.
All records are sent out in plastic covers.
THE NICE.
THE NICE - Self Titled.
UK IMMEDIATE 1969 LP - IMSP 026.
This LP was sold at the 1969 Isle Of Wight festival. Studio 4 was a record shop on the IOW, they run a stall at the 1969 festival and put stickers on the front of some of the records they was selling.
Some other examples that have been found include Bob Dylan, Blodwyn Pig and Blind Faith. I have added a few pictures of these LP`s to show them. These 3 records are NOT included with the sale. The Blind Faith LP sold this year for £100 if you look at the Popsike website.
This Nice LP was issued the same month as the festival.
This is the first example of this LP I have seen with the IOW sticker.
The Cover / VG+ condition.
The gatefold cover is in decent shape with some storage edge wear and a few creases. The rare sticker is complete and looks fine with some age wear and some lifting as this sticker normally has.
The Record / Strong VG condition.
Under halogen light the record has some light surface wear and some light marks. The record still has a nice original gloss. I will give a play grade of VG+. The disc plays with some surface crackle on the quiet moments.
This is a 1st issue disc with IMPS 026 -1Y-2U / IMPS 026-2Y-2U matrix numbers.
The Labels / VG+ condition.
The Inner Cover / VG Condition.
I will say again this sale is for the Nice LP only, the other 3 covers are for show only. .................................................................................
I USE THE UK GRADING SYSTEM BELOW.
Mint - as new and in perfect condition.
Excellent - A real nice example with light wear only. An EX disc will play great and the cover will be very nice too.
Very Good - The disc will have light surface wear and some light marks. The record will still play very well but may have some surface sound and a little crackle as this is graded as VG. The cover will have some creasing and storage age wear. The disc and cover will have no very serious faults. A VG disc and cover will also not be perfect!
Good / G condition - The disc will have very visible surface wear and light marks with some deeper marks. The cover will show much age wear and will not be the best example! The record will still play but will have surface sound and ticks etc.
Fair - This will be a tatty example of both disc and cover. The record will play with surface sound and noise. The cover will look tatty from age and storage wear.
Bad / Poor -This will be a badly worn example of both record and cover. The disc may jump or play with much surface sound. I would rarely sell an item like this.
