The Orlons ~ Not Me 1963 Original Mono pressing Vinyl is VG+ and plays VG+ to VG++: various faint and minor marks and faint surface-scratches; minor background -wear and faint, occasional ticks and clicks - overall this album really sounds great. Cover isVG+ to VG++, mostly VG++: corner-bends; bend on lower-left, other small and minor wear, minor edge-indentations with partially intact plastic shrink. Labels are VG+ to VG++, mostly VG++ with various, minor spindle-marks. Cameo Records - C-1054 Mono Out of print
"A predominantly female group from Philadelphia, the Orlons had some dance and novelty gems in the early '60s for Cameo-Parkway. Lead vocalist Rossetta Hightower, Marlena Davis, Steve Caldwell, andShirley Brickley scored with "The Wah Watusi" in 1962; it was a number five R&B and number two pop hit, while the follow-ups, "Don't Hang Up" and "South Street," were also Top Ten R&B and pop successes. "Not Me" was their fourth consecutive R&B Top Ten winner in 1963, and it peaked at number 12 pop. It was also their last, although "Cross Fire!" reached number 19 on the pop charts. But their other singles fizzled, and Davis and Caldwell left in 1964, replaced by Audrey Brickley. WhenHightower moved to England in 1968, the Orlons disbanded." -allmusic
