Description

The Pyramids "Penetration!" Original Mono LP (Best Records LSP-2760) (1963) (USA) ...This auction is for an original first issue instrumental surf rock record. The vinyl has been cleaned on a VPI record cleaning machine. The records we are listing are from the KRLA, KMET libraries (Los Angeles) and were owned by Jim Pewter (an infamous American radio DJ, songwriter and producer).   In early 1964, the Pyramids made the Top 20 with "Penetration," the last big national instrumental surf hit, and one of the best of its ilk.
  The original issue record and cover are in nice (Very Good to Very Good+) condition [cover and vinyl show some wear / record plays well and sounds excellent (play graded-very minimal occasional surface noise between some tracks-no notable clicks or pops) / cover has seam-back cover wear (no tape or splits) and name written on back / includes a plastic outer sleeve].
