Description
Original Allied Records pressing of the rare classic psychedelic fuzz tone LP, THE PLASTIC CLOUD. Unfortunately it does not have the original insert that originally was included with this LP. Cover in Very Good ++ condition, exhibits minimal wear and age. Vinyl in Very Good condition, exhibits some surface marks, but they are not deep nor are they plentiful. Record plays with some pop and crackle, mostly evident at the beginnings of both sides, but lessens as the needle moves farther along the LP. It's not prevalent enough to disrupt the enjoyment of the record, but it is audible. Again, it seems most pronounced at the beginning of each side and lessens somewhat as the songs progress on each side. As the surface marks are not extreme or plentiful, the pop and crackle may be able to be removed or lessened with a good deep vinyl cleaning. I don't have a professional cleaning machine to do this with or I would do this. The pops and crackles are by no means extreme, but I don't want anyone to feel misled. UPDATE: I just gave the record another listen through and the pops and crackles are more dominant on side 2 than I previously thought. Again, the record is still quite enjoyable, but due to this new awareness I am lowering the starting price of the auction to $295. I don't want anyone to feel deceived or misled. But i just want the buyer to be aware that unfortunately this is not a mint or excellent condition copy, it does exhibits pops and crackles, particularly on side 2. Again, the surface marks are not numerous, so perhaps a good professional cleaning machine will be able to remove these pops and crackles.
