Description
This is a 1958-59(?) album "The Platters". The label says KING but the cover says Federal in the left hand corner. Cover is fairly worn (note the tape on top and bottom and scuffs). The cover # (549) matches the # on the label. Set list on back matches the songs on the album. Album plays through with no skips but does have slight surface noise in quiet passages. There is a significant visible one inch scratch resulting in a slight tick in lower passages across tracks two and three on side one.
I'm fairly sure this is the Platters album listed as Federal #549 in Goldmine for $1600 in mint condition.
Considering the condition I know the value is significantly lower and this is either an entry level or place holder in most collections. This is a fairly rare album.
