Has the following attributes: 2 Nudes on the cover, Still In the Original Shrink Wrap with the original Hype Sticker, Translucent vinyl, Original Merchandise Order Form, MASTERDISK and RL stamped in the deadwax.Up for sale is one (1) The Police - Synchronicity LP from 1983 on A&M Records (#SP-3735) with the BANNED COVER. This is the Translucent Vinyl with DOUBLE NUDE COVER, meaning there are 2 pictures of nude ladies on the cover. THIS HAS BECOME KNOWN AS THE "BANNED COVER" with the original HYPE STICKER ON THE FRONT COVER. The 2 Nude Ladies are on the rear cover.
This is an Original 1983 TRANSLUCENT-KC-600 QUIEX AUDIOPHILE VIRGIN VINYL pressing. It is also a MASTERDISK RL pressing (Robert Ludwig). Ludwig was a master at mastering and his albums typically sound better than most. MASTERDISK stamped in dead wax on both sides. Has RL etched in the dead wax on one side, signaling a high quality Robert Ludwig mastering.
This is a First Pressing Translucent Vinyl. You can tell that it is Translucent when held up to a light.
The Vinyl is in Very Good condition, but has some surface marks that may cause surface noise along the way. Even with a VERY GOOD grading there is going to be a certain amount of surface noise. More noticible during the quiet parts.
I RECENTLY PLAYED THIS LP AND IT SOUNDS AWESOME. PLAY TESTED. NO SKIPS. PLAYS ALL THE WAY THROUGH. The labels are in Very Good condition.
The cover is still in the original shrink wrap and is in Very Good condition with typical wear from age, including, but not limited to corner dings, dog ears, crumples and ring wear, etc... There are NO split seams.
The custom inner lyric sleeve is in Good+ condition, with typical wear from age, including, but not limited to corner dings, dog ears, crumples and ring wear, etc... There are NO split seams. To further protect the insert and the vinyl, the LP is now being housed in a new plain white sleeve.
The Original Merchandise Insert is in Good condition but has a foldover crease, and some crumples.
