The Police – “Vinyl Villians” The Impossible Recordworks (IMP 1-104) cover is in Excellent condition with only a couple of tiny splits on the top edge and of course there is the “Rock” sticker that was added on the back at some point here in Seattle. Even though those stickers were hard to get and considered “rare”, It’s up to you, the fan/collector on wether or not it detracts from the value or not. (otherwise the cover is mint, clean &bright!). The Record itself is a strong nm+ (in beautiful shape!). *IMPORTANT NOTE: As you can see on the pics of the back, it says “Recorded at the Whiskey” in LA. *THIS IS NOT RECORDED AT THE WHISKEY in LA. It is the Fantastic BBC Hatfield Polytechnic, England show recorded in 1979 and is one of my all time favorite LIVE shows of any band I’m into! The set and the quality of the recording makes this an absolute gem!! But I’m sure some of you Police fanatics already have this recoding so I thought it important to bring this misprint to everyone’s attention. One cool thing, THE TRACK LISTING IS CORRECT, EXCEPT*They forgot to list one song on side 2: MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE and Sting mention’s it is the first time they played it live for an audience! If you’re a big fan and you DO NOT have this recording, you will not find a better quality recording from this time period. Period!
